When you become a member of Fractor, you are expressing your desire to change the world.  Fortunately, signing up for membership will be the easy part.  Fractor allows you to not only find and commit to the acts that have inspired you; it also gives you the opportunity to share your experiences with friends.  You can invite friends to join you on the site, see what others are doing and discussing, and then you can commit to action.  Through Fractor, you can become motivated to action through a news story, a discussion or the actions of a friend and immediately turn that motivation into a commitment to act.  Little by little, the world becomes a better place.

To become a member:

1. Click on “Become a Member” on the homepage and select “Create New Account”
2. Create a user name, enter an email address and select a password.

To personalize your account:

1. Click on Dashboard and select “Edit account”
2. Enter an address for your location.  The system will protect your preferred address and only those with appropriate permissions will be able to see this information. The great thing about having this information in Fractor is that the site can link you to driving directions if it knows your address.
3. Under “News”, you can select a city so that you can easily locate news related to you and where you live.
4. You can upload a picture of yourself to further personalize the site.
5. Fractor has a Personal Contact Form that allows others to easily get in touch with you by your email address.
6. You can also set your time zone to make it easier for the system to personalize your experience.
